Dad in the movies

Dad was in a movie, here are some stories about that:

1. The name of the movie was "Cross Winds" . John Payne and Ronda Flemming was the actors..

2. He was gone a long time from Mattoon, I think about a year...not sure about this either....

3. He bought the boat after movie was over, it 21 ft ChrisCrafts openface with a grey marine engine in the middle of the boat. Dad deciede to take the boat by water too the Suwannee River which only should take a day, but it took us 4 days. We got lost the first day, second day punch a hole in bottom of the boat and broke the rudder. Third day drydock the boat and repair it at Cedar Keys, went to a movie was not not clean and the motel was not clean (first time I ever stay in a motel with dad). Fourth day drove the boat to the Suwannee River a place dad own, but we had somebody to follower. They did not get the leak fix right and it was still leaking, we hand pump the water out often. But we did make it to the place that dad had on the Suwannee River. There use to be a sign on the Bridge " Way Down Up On The Suwannee River". "The Flamming Spring" was close to our house and we would walk there to go swimming. We left there to go back to Mattoon for awhile, when we came back the 21 ft ChrisCraft boat was gone that he got from the movie. Dad and I got in the glass bottom boat and driff down the Suwannee River, we fell asleep and when we woke up in a patch of Lillies dad said "look like we are in heaven". He said the boat had to be under us so we started to dive for it but never found it to this day, we do not know what happen to it.
